Our Story

Where engineering
meets operational reality.

Fulcrum Integrated Solutions was formed through the merger of two Orlando-based firms: Advent Engineering, a defense and security engineering practice, and Fulcrum Consulting, an executive business-growth and operations consultancy.

The result is a veteran-owned defense and international security firm built to bridge engineering development and operational reality, pairing program-leadership discipline with an advanced product-development practice and disciplined business execution.

Led by two co-owners who have worked alongside one another since 2005, Fulcrum brings together the technical depth to build and integrate complex systems with the operational and business expertise to deliver them on time and on budget.

Nirav Pandya

A results-driven executive specializing in business growth, revenue strategy, and operational transformation. As President and CEO of Orion Technologies, Nirav grew the company from a $1M startup into a $50M, award-winning systems enterprise, earning repeated national recognition including Inc. 5000 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 honors.

Previously, as President of ICx Imaging Systems, he drove rapid revenue growth and helped position the company for a successful 2008 IPO. He excels at scaling businesses, driving efficiency, and fostering innovation across strategy, process optimization, and turnaround leadership.

Nirav holds degrees in Computer Engineering (University of Central Florida) and Chemistry (Ursinus College). He chairs the Orlando Science Center Board of Trustees.

Michael Mahoney

A senior defense and security executive with 30+ years of experience leading complex programs across DoD, federal agencies, and allied governments. His career spans force protection and integrated base defense, counter-UAS and unmanned systems, C4ISR and sensor-fusion architectures, border and maritime security, and Foreign Military Sales.

Michael has delivered high-visibility programs across domestic and international installations, bringing both technical depth and program-management discipline to every engagement. He founded Advent Engineering International and built it into a recognized defense engineering practice.

He holds an active U.S. Government Secret clearance and is a 100% service-disabled U.S. veteran.
